Getting a Haircut Near Future Proof, September 14 to 17

Exterior twilight photo of Pacific City shopping center in Huntington Beach, CA, with palm trees and a blue-purple evening sky

Future Proof runs on the Huntington Beach boardwalk from September 14 through September 17. If you are in town for it, you are probably staying at the Hyatt Regency, Paséa, the Waterfront, or the Kimpton Shorebreak, and you are about to spend four days shaking hands and turning up in other people's photos.

We are the barbershop across the street.

Where we are

Timberlodge Parlor is a private single-chair suite inside Salon Republic at Pacific City. The address is 21058 Pacific Coast Hwy, Ste M-100, Room 306, Huntington Beach, CA 92648.

Pacific City sits on the inland side of PCH, directly across from the boardwalk where the festival happens. Paséa is next door to us. The other festival hotels are all along the same walkable stretch of PCH.

Once you are inside Salon Republic, look for Room 306.

Booking a chair

Book online at timberlodgeparlor.com/booking, or text 657-666-2229. You can also call (657) 666-2378.

Texting is the better option if your schedule is moving. Breakthru meetings get rescheduled, panels run long, and a text lets us shuffle you into a gap without a phone call. Tell us roughly when you are free and we will tell you what is open.

Hours during the festival

Festival week is one chair and a book that moves. The booking page shows what is open right now, day by day, and it is the fastest way to see whether a gap fits your schedule. If nothing there works, text 657-666-2229 with the window you have and we will tell you what we can do.

What we do

Haircuts of every kind, from a short cut or fade to longer styles, plus buzz cuts and head shaves. Beard trims, a hot towel shave, and mustache work. Gray blending for hair and beard if four days of photos have you thinking about it. Eyebrow, ear, and nose waxing while you are in the chair. Prices are on the service pages.

We are one chair, which means you get the whole appointment instead of a slot between two other people. It also means the day fills up. Book before you land if you can.

A few things worth knowing

Parking at Pacific City is going to be rough all four days. The structure is your best bet.

If you want a recommendation for coffee, dinner, or somewhere to take a client that is not packed with other festival attendees, ask when you are in the chair. Joann has run a shop here long enough to know which places are worth the walk.

Some people shine. Some people don't.
