Duke's Huntington Beach
Sitting right at the base of the pier and named for Duke Kahanamoku, the father of modern surfing, Duke's pairs Hawaiian-inspired seafood with front-row ocean views.
It is where we point visitors who want the full Surf City evening: fresh fish, a sunset, and the pier lit up above the water. Ask for the fresh catch, and whatever you do, leave room for the Hula Pie. Arguing about whether one slice serves four is part of the experience.
Our advice for a proper night of it: book a beard trim with us that afternoon, walk the three blocks down PCH looking sharp, and time your table for sunset.
